The Versalette is the brain child of two amazing friends, Kristin and Shannon that got their startup funding through a Kickstarter campaign. Determined to make minimalist and travel fashion stylish, affordable, and functional they created one piece that offers so much versatility. The multifunctional piece can be worn in an advertised 15 different ways, but really there are even more possibilities than that. It is a dress, a skirt, a shirt, a purse, a scarf, a hood, and loads more. The Versalette is being made in the USA and with 100% recycled fabrics and the colors are created from recycled cotton scraps – not harsh and resource intensive dye practices. I love the idea of having fewer items hanging in my closet, but it’s hard to do when each piece has only one function or one way to wear it. The girls behind the Versalette have finally created eco-friendly fashion that is affordable and adorable and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next! Rock on Kristin and Shannon, ladies like you inspire me!
If you want to snatch up one of these great pieces you can pre-order on their website (it’s still in production and is expected to ship in July). I’ve ordered one in grey – and I can’t wait to try it out!
